ABOUT ME.
Who am I?
I’m Sarah, a designer driven by curiosity about how space shapes the way we feel. I’m studying Design and Business at Griffith University, majoring in Interior and Spatial Design and Entrepreneurship. My work explores how environments can move beyond function to create feeling. I create spaces that support wellbeing, invite connection, and stay with people long after they leave.
What do I do?
I design for emotional impact. Every project begins with understanding how people want to feel, and ends with an environment that brings that feeling to life. My focus is on creating places that are inclusive, sensory, story driven and functional.
Why do I do it?
I care deeply about people and the ways space can shape their lives. My own experiences have shown me how powerfully design can support mental health, which is why I lean into human-centered and nature-connected approaches. At the core of my work is the desire to create places where people feel deeply considered.
How I work.
I’m a hands-on, process-driven designer who learns by doing. I sketch, build quick models, and test ideas to keep concepts moving, while staying open to new ways of working. Collaboration is central to my approach. I enjoy connecting with others and believe the best ideas come from creative teamwork. I’m comfortable using Revit, SketchUp, Twinmotion, Procreate, Photoshop and InDesign. I bring curiosity and adaptability to every project I take on.
My Passions.
I’m a girl of many hobbies. I love creating, whether it’s painting, photography, or sketching. It’s how I slow down and express what I notice. I’m also drawn to cars, especially old Japanese models, and enjoy learning how they work and bringing them back to life. When I’m not creating or tinkering, I’m travelling or outdoors. Exploring new places, camping, and hiking always recentre me and remind me why I love to create.
My Values.
I value connection and collaboration, believing that the best design outcomes grow from genuine relationships and shared ideas. Inclusivity is central to my practice, ensuring spaces are welcoming and meaningful to diverse communities. I also see design as a tool for wellbeing, creating environments that support mental health and emotional balance.
My Mission.
My mission is to design with intention, shaping environments that go beyond function to leave a lasting impression on how people experience themselves, each other, and the world around them.
